DALLAS, TX, March 04, 2026- The United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII®) today announced a strategic collaboration with TEENSTECH: AI Experience, a youth-focused artificial intelligence literacy initiative based in Lagos State, Nigeria, to expand access to practical AI education through the USAII® Global AI Hackathon 2026.
The USAII® Global AI Hackathon is expected to bring together over 20,000 students from more than 500 schools and universities across 50+ countries, making it one of the world’s largest global student AI competitions. Participants will collaborate in teams to design AI-powered solutions addressing real-world challenges in healthcare, sustainability, finance, education, and smart cities.
Through its partnership with the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII®), TEENSTECH: AI Experience is creating a structured pathway from early AI literacy to international participation. The program engages 1,000 secondary school students across 21 schools in Lagos State, Nigeria, equipping them with practical AI understanding, ethical awareness, critical thinking skills, and confidence in responsible technology use.
Delivered through a FOUR PHASE MODEL, including facilitator training, in-school AI programs, a central AI Experience Day, and long-term school support; TEENSTECH ensures sustainable impact beyond a single event.
Together, USAII® and TEENSTECH are expanding global access to AI education, supporting emerging talent markets, and building a strong, inclusive pipeline that connects foundational learning to global AI innovation platforms like the USAII® Global AI Hackathon.
