USAII® Crowns Global AI Hackathon 2026 Winners, Celebrating the NextGen AI Innovators

Dallas, TX- Saturday, June 30, 2026: The United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII®) proudly announced the winners of the Global AI Hackathon 2026, celebrating 15 exceptional student teams whose AI-powered solutions exemplify innovation, technical excellence, and responsible AI development.

The hackathon attracted more than 6,000 pre-registered participants from over 90 countries, with 808 teams comprising 2,284 students qualifying through the USAII® Global AI Qualifier. Following an intensive competition, 622 AI-powered projects were evaluated by an international panel of AI leaders, researchers, educators, and industry experts, culminating in the selection of winners across the High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate tracks.

Designed to bridge academic learning with real-world innovation, the USAII® Global AI Hackathon challenged participants to develop novel AI solutions, reflecting a new generation of AI talent that is not only technically proficient but also deeply committed to building ethical, inclusive, and human-centered technologies.

The USAII® Global AI Hackathon is far more than a competition; it is a global movement to empower future AI leaders to solve meaningful problems with responsibility and purpose, said Dr. Milton Mattox, Chief Executive Officer, USAII®. “We are immensely proud to celebrate these young innovators and look forward to seeing the impact they will create.

The winning projects tackled a diverse range of societal challenges, collectively demonstrating how responsible AI can improve decision-making, simplify access to essential services, and address complex global challenges with measurable impact.

High School Track Winners

In recognition of their outstanding accomplishments, all 15 winning teams received cash prizes and 100% scholarships toward USAII's globally recognized AI certification programs. Additionally, hackathon participants were awarded participation certificates and scholarship opportunities, reinforcing USAII's commitment to developing industry-ready AI professionals through continuous learning and practical innovation.
