Dallas, TX, April 27, 2026 – The United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII®) has officially opened registrations for the USAII® Global AI Hackathon 2026, inviting students worldwide to now register directly on Devpost for one of the world’s most anticipated virtual student AI competitions. Following an overwhelming response to its global pre-registration campaign, USAII® has now moved into the next phase by opening full registrations, enabling students to officially secure their participation through Devpost.
Scheduled to take place from June 14–21, 2026, the fully virtual global hackathon is open to high school students (Grades 9–12) and full-time college students across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Designed as a hands-on innovation experience, the USAII® Global AI Hackathon 2026 will bring together young minds from around the world to build practical, responsible, and impactful AI solutions for real-world challenges.
With registrations now fully open on Devpost, students can officially enter the competition through one of the world’s leading hackathon platforms used by developers, builders, and student innovators to launch and showcase breakthrough ideas.
Participants will gain access to mentorship support and structured guidance to help them develop solutions responsibly and effectively. This approach ensures that students not only compete but also learn how to apply AI in a meaningful, ethical, and execution-driven manner.
The competition features a total prize pool of USD 15,000+, including USD 6,000 in prizes for the High School category and USD 9,000 in prizes for the College category, along with multiple special recognitions such as Best Design, Best Technical Solution, and Best Pitch. In addition to cash prizes, winning teams will also receive scholarships toward USAII®’s globally recognized AI certification programs, creating long-term academic and professional value beyond the competition itself. Following the competition, participants will receive recognition certificates, award announcements, and access to future USAII® learning pathways, showcases, and global initiatives.
